The St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus Cathedral

Our team completed a comprehensive measurement project of the Gothic Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus in Świdnica, a site recognized as a Monument of History in Poland. Using a combined point cloud gathered from hundreds of laser scanner positions, we created a diverse range of products. These included photorealistic mesh models of sculptures and paintings, hypsometric maps of the floor, orthophotoplans of the vaulted ceiling, and a detailed mesh model of the altar from which we calculated its surface area. We also produced an animation and visualization of the Cathedral's interior.
After scanning the entire church, we utilized the obtained point cloud data to produce current architectural documentation, including precise floor plans, cross-sections, and elevation drawings. This comprehensive project showcased our ability to apply advanced scanning technology to historical preservation. Our work not only documented the current state of this significant monument but also provided valuable tools for future conservation efforts and historical research. The variety of outputs we produced demonstrates our team's versatility in handling complex architectural documentation projects, especially those involving structures of great historical and cultural importance.
